Les Collections de Philippe
les Gravures militaires de A. Von Escher
Albert von Escher (20.05.1833 ‒16.05.1905), capitaine de l’armée suisse, s’est fait connaître comme peintre d’aquarelles à sujets militaires. Les originaux des feuilles représentant les uniformes des troupes cantonales et suisses ont été achetés par le Conseil fédéral pour la bibliothèque de l’Etat-major général. Elles constituent depuis lors une des collections spéciales de la Bibliothèque militaire fédérale, devenue ensuite la Bibliothèque Am Guisanplatz qui détient les 900 aquarelles originales.
